Would you be interested in buying a diesel Cruze?

I would be more interested if it was a bio-diesel plug-in hybrid for less than $30,000!

With diesel fuel costing over $4.00 per gallon and 9 times out of 10 it always costs more than gasoline, going bio-diesel would be the only way to go.

A plug in is a waste of good money.

This would be a relevant question if it were 1980. Of course, the vindicator was probably a relavant newspaper back in 1980 as well.

Fairandequal...I understand your feelings against GM. It makes it tough when you put in so many years for an organization and they later turn their backs on you as if you have been consumed and spit out like a grape seed. I felt the same way when my union refused to stand up for us so their cronies could keep their jobs. Life is unfair many, many times during our time on this planet. How we deal with it is what makes us who we are. I have to remind myself of that often.

This is now a new and reorganized GM, with new management...owned by all Americans, so if Americans boycott GM, they are boycotting their own store.

They are boycotting a new GM that CHOSE to pay FULL pensions to the UAW, top up the Delphi hourly retirees, and screw the Delphi Salaried retirees, at the hands of the very "American" who is supposed to represent the rights of ALL Americans, Barrack "Unethical" Obama. You are right, ALL Americans own a part of GM, and should not stand for the UNETHICAL behavior that they are exibiting. Americans should also not stand for the UNETHICAL behavior by the person that should be upholding our Constitution, OBAMA! And believe me, if this isn't changed, we won't let Obama NOR GM get away with it!

The union folks need to speak up about how many GM jobs to make models for China and other markets are being made outside the US.

Next, GM OnStar is nothing but a big nasty scary monitoring service logging folks, even if they don't subscribe to the service. Last few weeks OnStar's spying has been all over the media. OnStar can/will sell data on you to insurers, government, etc.

Recent OnStar dealings with Google, the biggest privacy snoop ever, are the final nail in the coffin for me.

I personally would not purchase a diesel but I'm sure there is a market for it.

Instead of pushing all these expensive "green" vehicles that "save money", we should look into Nat Gas,=. Natural gas makes more sense to develop, particularly in the near term. Nat Gas costs roughly half of what gasoline costs per gallon. Cars would cost much less than electric and hybrid cars, and you can fill it at home with a home filling station. The only thing missing is gas stations for filling up on the go, subsidize that.

We ( those who work for somebody else which I do not and never have ) get to take their pension with them . The UAW workers had a contract that was given a ok by the court ( Bush's court ). Free - An important FACT that you don't seem to understand. ALL contracts in bankruptcy court can be declared null & void. GM (& Obama) CHOSE not to nullify the UAW & IUE contracts for the hourly employees/retirees. Instead, they submitted a plan to the court to top up both pensions, the IUE's pension not even being part of GM, but Delphi. And they CHOSE to "say" that they couldn't afford the Salaried Delphi pension. PUR DISCRIMINATION by BOTH GM & OBAMA. I'm sure you can't get that through your head, loser, but I'll state it for those with any intelligence that read this forum. America, BOYCOTT GM products until ALL are treated EQUALLY!

GM did live up to OUR agreement for 22 years. What they DID NOT live up to was OUR agreement that for those 22 years, WE agreed that they would fund & pay my pension. And to make it worse, GM CHOSE to discriminate against us, while topping up ALL other worker groups. Get that through your skull, pinhead.

Now you are showing your lack of knowledge regarding bankruptcy court. In bankruptcy court, it is up to the COMPANY to submit a bankruptcy exit plan to the Court. Bankruptcy Courts are not in the business of running corporations. They only review the plans submitted to them by the COMPAMY, in this case UNETHICAL GM & Delphi. GM & Delphi submitted their plan to top up the UAW & IUE hourly pensions, as well as deny the salaried theirs. This was also directed by Obama & the Treasury to "save" America. The hourly deserve their pensions, and SO DO THE SALARIED. Do your research before you continue to make incorrect statements! And support the BOYCOTT of ALL GM products!

Yes, Free, I hope they do see my & thousands of others' anger, but not for the reasons that you preach. They should see just how upsetting it is having a discriminatory company such as GM, aided by our own Federal Government, rip away from a single worker group a lifelong promise of an earned pension. And importantly, they should see how GM & Obama chose to reward all other worker groups, namely unions, with their full pensions. Because the day that citizens & voters allow that to continue will be the day that ALL of us lose our rights & our way of a "fair & equal" Government, a cornerstone of our democracy.

Sadly, In this country, money buys votes, and democracy is often three wolves and a sheep voting on who is for dinner. BTW, although I buy American, I want neither GM nor diesel.

Search4Answers- I really hope they do not start making natural gas vehicles and no propane vehicles either. Both gases are highly explosive and likely to cause very serious or deadly injuries in an accident, way more than gasoline or diesel causes. Diesel vehicles do not make sense right now either because they cost more to buy and then the diesel fuel is more expensive than gasoline.
