Why on list the corporate candidates, there ARE other choices on the ballot in November?

I wonder what left wing site this was posted on because Kasich is going to DESTROY Teddy. Quinnipiac came out with a poll today that showed Kasich up 17 points!

Kasich will need the 17 lead in most of the State in order to offset the thrashing he will get in the Mahoning Valley and most of northeastern Ohio. Kasich has said time and again that free trade (which is non-existent) is the way to go. Don't expect much if and when he moves into the Governor's mansion....

Not surprised that Strickland is winning this poll in the Mahoning Valley. This area loves the poverty that the democrats have brought to the area. They would vote for Sadam if he had a "D" next to his name. They can't look and see what the democrat's policies have done to this area.

I agree with DJ.

All the good candidates left Ohio for jobs in other states.

I'm surprised that Traficant did not run.

Or, what about Jimmy Dimora? Oh, that's right, he will be leaving the state of Ohio soon too!

Not surprised that Strickland is winning this poll in the Mahoning Valley either. Now that the Republican Party has been taken over by the Tea Partyers, there's lots to fear. Who wants a governor taking orders from them?

Anothermike... You are wrong. The poll is for all Ohioans, and like the Presidential Polls in 2004 and 2008, they are usually accurate.

I guess the valley continues to love those DemoRATs like Strickland even though unemployment is at 12% and there are no good jobs to be had here in this depressionary economy.

Me - I am voting for John Kasich and the hope for change with elimination of income taxes and reduced business taxes and fees. He can't be any worse then Ted.

Letter to the Editor
Our area is part of the 6th district of Ohio and our representative to
congress is Charles Wilson. It is Mr. Wilson's responsibility to carry the
majority will of our district and to cast his vote in our behalf. Unfortunately
this did not occur on the newly adopted Health Care Bill when he voted
against the majority will of his people. Every poll in the country before and
after the vote indicated a rejection of government controlled Health Care.
Charles Wilson is guilty of dereliction of duty by going against the majority
will of his people. The infamous midnight vote on Christmas Eve behind
closed doors which forced the very unpopular Health Care Bill into law
was supported by Representative Charles Wilson. He helped pass
a bill he did not read and nobody understands. He refused to state his
position before the vote and after he supported it he rationalized his
defense of his actions. He failed to conduct open town hall meetings to
allow his people to express their views. He hid behind teleconferences
which screened phone calls and allowed nebulous pretentious answers.
Questioned by E-mail as to why he supports expanding the deficit and
gutting Medicare was met with form letters of meaningless rhetoric.
He refuses to debate his opponent thus denying his people an open
forum to compare his position of governance with an opposing view.
This is not a referendum on Charlie Wilson, it is a referendum on our
freedom to have the majority vote of our people represented in Congress.
This is not a personal attack or a political endorsement, it is merely a
desire to seek a representative who will act responsibly commensurate with
his duty. Mr. Wilson got his start with a heavy infusion of outside money to
drive his rare write-in election. The ill effects of too much outside assistance results in obligatory payback which betrays responsibility in order to satisfy the sponsor. This is not a political party criticism, all representatives are liable to the majority will of the people and not their party. Wilson's subjective vote to force a Health Care Bill under penalty of fine or imprisonment is not the objective vote he was obligated to cast. For this and all the aforementioned reasons, Charlie Wilson should not be re-elected.

Well the poll was hijacked by outsiders from other parts of the nation to diminish a poll that was meant for our area.. Oh well, Kasich still wins by double digits!

Hmmmm. Where's your evidence that the results are being hijacked by out of towners? Do you have a seat in front of the Vindicator's computer where you can see the votes as the come in? What a weird post you've made.

Warren... Strickland was winning by 600+ votes and bam, in a few hours Kasich has the lead. Come on now, a link on the DailyKos or on RedState will easily change the results of this poll.

Regardless, Kasich wins big!

What this poll tells us is the real story here. People (voters) are fed up with incumbents who do not deliver on promises.

Take note newly elected officials. If you make promises...you better deliver!

Shouldn't elected officials have 90 day probationary periods? We do when we are hired in the business world.

I feel our elected officials need to be motivated and focused to what the voters want and not what advisors, consultants and special interests tell them.

So often, I have been disappointed when it no longer becomes all about us, the voters, but rather all about the almightly, great and powerful elected official who knows what is best for us. "Just stick with me here" are no longer words I care to hear.

This race will be decided by only a few points. I predict Strickland 51% Kasich 48%.

Its simple, some no lifer kept going back to the homepage and voting. Rinse and repeat, vindy should only allow one vote per person instead of allowing anyone to vote numerous times. I'm gonna vote for my candidate 1000 time starting.... now!

They all tell you want you want to hear to get your vote. Once in office, things change and promises made are not kept. I am at a point where I don't trust any of them anymore. My grandchildren are going to be paying off this huge debt we have because of failed policies of our former President and our current President. The voters need to CLEAN HOUSE. Over spending has got to stop and government must live within its means.
