Yes. I have yet to attend one, though that may change tonight, but I feel more aligned with the Tea Party on fiscal issues than I do with the Republicans or Democrats.
The question really reads:
Are you a proponent of a responsible and effective Federal fiscal policy, and a tax model that stimulates private sector job growth?
For those that voted no...do you support high taxes and unsustainable debt?
There you have it. Anyone who wants to know how these teababbers think or what they are about should just read the posts from the USEless1.
He does a excellent job of representing them and how they think plus you won't get confused by infiltrators trying to make them look like some nut.
Just remember that when you vote republican you vote the same way they do.
Cambridge and PenguinBird,
I'm more interested in reading your thoughts on the consequences of raising taxes on job creation, or the benefits of increasing the national debt by $2,000,000,000,000.00+/18 months. Surely you have something more to offer this conversation than ridicule...right?
BTW PenguinBird, the KKK was formed as a radical arm of the Democratic Party during Reconstruction. If you wish to have a separate conversation of the history of racism in the Democratic Party, I welcome it.
Nonsocialist....What ridicule? The poll question pertains to the Teabagger movement and I'm referring people to the areas biggest player in the movement.
You do believe he's a perfect representative of their movement don't you?
As far as the national debt is concerned I guess you forgot who got that ball rolling. I've said it before, if you burn the house to the ground you can't rebuild it for free. Obama is dealing with the hand he got in a way different than the republicans that drove the economy into the ditch.
I believe the path the country is currently on is a much better one than the one the Republicans had us on when Obama took office.
As far as taxes, i don't recall you ever commenting on Bush's 1.6 trillion dollar tax cut for the top 5%, companies like Exxon who make 35 billion in profits and pay no federal income tax, or an unnecessary tax payer funded trillion dollar war in Iraq, or an .8 trillion dollar unfunded gift to the drug companies under the guise of a drug program for seniors.
Bottom line is the Democrats and the Republicans have completely different set of values and thoughts on who the government of this country represents.
I am a member of the TEA Party and I'm glad to see other Americans getting mad enough to want to take their country back. Our representatives have lost touch with the people they serve.
PenguinBird, you want to talk about illiterate, reread your post because you could use some help with your spelling and grammar.
The Bush tax cuts made the tax code more progressive (it favored the low income earners). See link below.
Regarding spending under Obama, it far exceeds the crazy spending under Bush 43. A quote from IBD:
"In all, if Congress approves his current budget, Obama's deficit spending will total $3.5 trillion for the first half of his first term. President Bush's deficit spending totaled $2.9 trillion. In other words, Obama's deficit spending for his first two years in office will exceed Bush's deficit spending for his entire eight-year presidency."
Much of the Obama spending has been for pork projects with little or no intended impact on job creation.
USEless1....So, today was the big day. Tax day and the big teabagger rallies. The Fix Noise Network reports 3 to 4 thousand in DC. By your count that would be 2,096,000 less teabaggers than when you were there. There's a ringing endorsement for your little club.
The biggest crowed in the country was Boston because of Palan being the headliner. 5 thousand. The Indians draw more than that on the last day of the season.
Well anyway you had your little gathering. How many teabaggers turned out? Did you dress up like Davey Crockett?
Nonsocialist....The difference is that Bush and the Republicans spent money wrecking the country and the economy and Obama and the Democrats are spending money trying to fix it.
A perfect example is how Bush and the Republicans just wanted to give the banks and Wall Street almost 800 billion on his way out the door with no strings attached and no payback. In stepped Obama and the Democrats and they made the money a loan with conditions. A lot of that money has been paid back and the Dems are on their way with reform for both the banks and Wall Street to keep this from ever happening again. The Republicans are against any reform.
Last March the DOW was 6,500 and now it's over 11,000.
Like I said, the Reps and the Dems have completely different philosophies on the role of government. You have your opinion and I have mine. It's America, we don't have to agree.
USEless1.....Here is Fix Noise Network reporting on the teabagger turn out in DC. You read it and tell me what it says. I know you wont admit what they reported so I'll do it for you. They said 3 to 4 thousand.:- )
Don't forget to bring your musket and where your pilgrim costume.
For Pete's sake..."take your country back" from who? The other half of the country?
Welcome to democracy...you get to "take it back" through elections just like we "took it back" in 2008. And I don't think you need Sarah Palin or some made up revolution to do it. Just vote.
Back and forth, back and forth. Haven't we all figured this out by now.
Geesh, people control your inner crazy - it's out of its room again.
Useless1....The link below is the only one I found that gives figures from around the country. I'm going to guess that are highlighting the larger or key ones.
DC-4,000, Boston-5,000, Hartford-1,000, Boise-1,000, Oklahoma City-500, Montpelior Vt.-60, Denver-2,000, Colorado Springs-2,000 and Newt Gingrich drew 300.
That would be a total of 15,860. You claim 4 million. How about you posting a link and letting us know where the other 3,084,140 showed up.
Shouldn't be to hard to find if your telling the truth.
USEless1.....You claim 4 million teabaggersl showed up at demonstrations around the country. You got that information from some reliable source right? All I'm asking you to do is post the link where you got your information. What 's so hard about that? You wouldn't want people to think you just made that up right?
USEless1....I'll take your last post to mean that you don't have any figures from a reliable news organization to back up your claim that 4 million teabaggers showed up at demonstrations yesterday. So you just made that up right? I'm mortified.
We are all losers. How blind can America be? Divide and conquer has been the MO of our political fathers long before HW Bush declared the new world order and before Clinton signed away our manufacturing base with Nafta. If they keep us fighting amongst ourselves Joe Public is totally clueless as to what is really going on.Independents,Republicans,Democrats, Teaparty it really does not matter as long as we continue to attack and put lables on each other.I have a few things everyone should ask themself. 1) If we are the only country in the world that has everything we need to exist why are we the only country being losing our standing in the world? This did not start with Obama we have been on a downward spiral through the last 5 Presidents2) Was bringing down the iron curtain worth creating Osama Bin Laden?3) If we are so concerned about terrorists why have we failed to secure our borders? How blind can America Be?
USEless1....Here is a link from ABC News that says 60 to 70 thousand teabaggers in DC on Sept. 12 2009. That's them saying not me. If you have a problem with it take it up with them.
I've posted at least a half dozen links from reliable news agencies and everyone of them says less than 100,000 teabggers on that day.
You have never posted a link to back up your claim of 2.1 million. I don't understand that. Your a major player. One of the top (and probably bottom too) teabaggers in the Moaning Valley. I'm sure you have access to all the info on all the teabag get togethers.
I'll tell you what. Forget the 2.1 million you claim. Just post one link that says there were more than 100,000. That should be easy, unless you just made it up, right?
America has declined since FDR used the Great Depression as an opportunity to institute long term socialist policies in what was once a land of liberty. Paying people to not work, and punishing hard work, will cause any nation to decline.
Political parties cause false divisions between citizens and divert the loyalty of politicians from country to party. Political parties need to be abolished. George Washington was correct to express concern about them.
Additionally, class warfare policies such as the progressive income tax also divide Americans. "Don't worry, I'll give you money that others have honestly earned...just vote for me!"
USEless1....You claim that there were 12,000+ in Madison Wis. but in the link below but Capital Police Chief Charles Tubbs estimates 4,500.
You claim 10,000+ in Kansas City but Kansas City.com said that the stadium that it was held in holds only 6,500 and it was only 80% full.
At least your consistent.
Yes I am proud to say I am a Tea Party member.
I am amazed of the hatred coming from the left and Washington when they should be looking at their little fringe groups.
"A New York Times/CBS News poll found that a majority of Americans, 52 percent, think the policies of President Barack Obama are moving the United States toward socialism." It also "found that while tea party participants are generally more conservative than the broader population, they are also better educated and slightly more successful."
The converse must also be true. Non-TEA Party members are less educated and less successful.
The poll confirms what we knew all along.
USEless1.....The only thing more amazing to me than how stupid you are is how hard you work at it.
Thanks for bringing up Sept. 12, 2009 in DC again. There is no shortage of coverage by news agencies that say less than 100,000 teabaggers showed up that day. Every time you bring it up I'm going to post a link that proves your lack of creditability. The link below is from the Fix Noise Network. It's Fix Noise saying it not me. If you have a problem with it take it up with them.
I wont ask you to post a link that supports your claim of 2.1 million but how about just one that says more than 100,000. Your a community organizer in the teabagger community so you shouldn't have any trouble posting that link, unless you just made it up, right?
Nonsocialist....Since the USEless1 is a teabagger organizer is that your example of their parties intelligence? He does do an excellent job of representing who these people are and what their about but I wouldn't exactly call it intelligence.
How is it that your measuring the success of the teabaggers verses normal people? Is that monetary success? I'd by happy to match my net worth against any of those clowns posting on this board any day of the week.
I must admit that I find the push-pull between you and ProAmerican incredibly amusing. I hope it never stops.
As a fellow freedomophile, I admire ProAmerican's passion and tenacity. We are better because of him.
I am happy for your success. I wish there weren't obstacles (the progressive tax, incentives not to work, etc.) that limit others ability to achieve what you have.
Nonsocialist.....You actually wrote that "We are better because of him"? It's a world gone mad!
Seriously, I mean no disrespect but I've totally over estimated you all this time. I think you should go into a dark room and think about what you wrote. I know I'm going too.
Since you seem to keep up on this running endless train wreck, I have to ask you, Sept. 12, 2009, more or less, 100,000 teabaggers in DC. Think a minute before you answer because everyone from this plant has the same answer and I'd hate to think there is an empty pod in your garage.
Indeed you are correct.
Wilson left Harding (a fellow Ohioan) a huge government bureacracy, huge debt and high unemployment. Harding cut taxes while reducing the Federal debt, and unemployment plummeted. The roaring 20's ensued.
I find the parallels between Obama and Wilson compelling. Both have narcissistic personality disorder, both so-called academics, both favored a huge federal bureacracy, both too vain to realize or care about the damage they caused.
Thanks for the feedback. A pilot perhaps?
I researched the attendance for the 9-12-09 DC rally, and I cannot find any reliable figures. As you know, the National Park Service hasn't released crowd estimates since 1995. I've seen some very impressive aerial photos of monstrously huge crowds, claiming to have been taken during the rally, but obviously I can't vouch for their authenticity.
In short, I don't know. Whatever the figure, it doesn't change any particular dynamic.
Stay out of the dark room! Cause a ruckus at a winery or something else.
Pretty damn sure this poll got hijacked by the fine folks on the DailyKos or HuffingtonPost.
Nonsocialist.....I'll take your answer to mean that you don't believe that Fox News, ABC, CBS, The Associated Press, San Francisco Chronicle, Washington Post, Comcast.net, USA Today are all reliable news agencies because I've posted links from everyone of them and they all say less than 100,000.
Or maybe just like the USEless1 you just refuse to face the facts or reality.
I thought you were better than that.
I think you're too obscessed with this topic. It doesn't matter. It won't affect the results on 2 November 2010. Neither of us were there counting heads. There are no official numbers. The MSM can't be trusted. Maybe it is 100,000...but for that to be the case, the aerial photos must be false (and maybe they are).
Perhaps your true concern is the size and influence of the TEA Party movement (see link). We'll have to wait until November to see. I personally can't even guess their impact, but I will say this, regardless of the results of the election, I don't see a happy ending. The house is too divided.
Nonsocialist.....What matters is when the Republicans, teabaggers and the Fix Noise Network blatantly lie day after day about something because that repartition causes many people to ignore facts.
The USEless1 has lied about 9/12/09 so many times that you yourself just said it doesn't matter. The truth doesn't matter?
The guy lies, he knows he lies, you know he lies the rest of the teabagger neo cons know he lies but to all of you it doesn't matter.
Well to me it matters. We just finished eight years of lies that almost wrecked this country. Conservatives live their lives in such fear that they will believe in any boogie man put in front of them. The Republicans and Rupert Murdoch know that and take advantage of you with it every day.
Obama is part of a fifty year conspiracy to take all the money from the people that work and give it to the people that don't. As soon as he gets all their money his death panels will have them killed It started when he was born in a hut in Kenya and some people planted fake birth notices in the newspaper in Hawaii and made fake birth certificates almost fifty years ago. He has never gone to collage, he has never taught law, he is only a terrorist that wants to destroy America.
That's what these people say and people like you think it doesn't matter because no matter how ridiculous it is it's OK because you want it to be true.
Well you know what? I'm going to call BS every time the USEless1 or any other of his little buddies lies and I'm going to post proof of his and their lies and I'm going to continue to challenge them to back up what they say or I'll expose them for what they are every time.
The truth always matters.
Being a force for truth is a good thing. But I think some truths are more worthy of your time than others. In the end, it doesn't matter how many attended what function, or how many held signs, or how many wore bowling shoes.
You're right to point out deception, which is why I've listed some of the broken promises (inaccurately called lies) from the ruler of the People's Republic of America.
-No lobbyists in the administration.-Transparancy-No tax increase for incomes below $250K.-Earmark Reform-Signing Statements-Iraqi timetable
There are so many others, like recognition of the Armenian genocide, but I believe that the point is made.
I volunteer to work on your campaign for elected office.
Your post is amusing, but it's been said that in all jokes, there is only a drop of joke, and the rest is all truth.
Some folks will be led but not ruled. Some folks prefer liberty to government-sanctioned theft.
I hope the parting is peaceful.
MrsRupp....You are just one more example of a conservative that will lie about something and the rest of your ilk will believe it because they want it to be true.
You know it's a lie, they know it's a lie but all of you will keep repeating it because most of you think the truth doesn't matter.
Hawaii's health plan has been around since 1974 and the cost per person is the second lowest in the United States. People in Hawaii live longer on average than the rest of the country. Even though the have the highest incidence of breast cancer they have the lowest death rate from the disease.
The link below is from the New York Times and explains their health care plan. Unless your a Republican or a teabagger, I guess then you wouldn't consider the Times a reliable source.
SkyKing.....You asked "did anyone foresee the 9/11 attack coming?" The answer is yes. The Clinton administration repeatedly warned the Bush administration that bin Laden was planing an attack on the US probably with hijacked airplanes.
Those warnings were ignored by Bush and after the attacks the bin Lade family were the only people allowed to fly in the US. Not Americans, the bin Ladens. I believe both families have a history in the oil business in the Middle East.
What's your take on the Bush having our Military back off after they had bin Laden cornered in Tora Bora so he could focus on invading Iraq and spending a trillion dollars in a country that never threatened us in any way while he let the leader of the terrorist that attacked us escape?
The Hawai'ian Marxist Medical Disaster:
-The pediatric "universal" coverage program went bankrupt after only 7 months and was eliminated.
-Hawai'ian hospitals are going bankrupt, laying off workers, and have "sustained operating losses for eight consecutive years".
Nonsocialist.....Apples and bowling balls. Two completely different programs with two completely different degrees of success. If your going to tell the story, tell the whole story.
The plan you referred to was short lived because it was a complete failure. When it was obvious that this plan didn't work the state dumped it as it should. If it doesn't work get rid of it.
The original comment by MrsRupp was "Hawaii's health plan was abandoned 7 months into it!" That statement is completely false. Hawaii's health plan has been in effect since 1974 and is more effective at a lower cost to it's citizens than any other state in the country. Their plan should be used as a model for the rest of the country.
The formula for success is to scrap what doesn't work and stick with and improve what does. That is exactly what Hawaii has done.
What I find interesting is that the NYT article you cite was openly advocating for the Hawai'ian model, but entirely censored the failure of the pediatric "universal" program and the financial disaster of the medical system as a whole in Hawai'i. In other words, it is not a news piece, but rather propaganda.
Read my attachments in entry #79 above. Do you still believe a financially-devastated model would work well for the rest of the PRA?
Why are you so hungry to call people liars? Take up windsurfing or golf or something more healthy.
Nonsocialist.... I call em like I see em. If someone makes a statement on this board that is a lie that's exactly what I'm going to call it. It's not like I'm calling someone a socialist or a Nazi just because they have a different opinion.
The statement she made is completely false and to call Hawaii's medical system as a whole a disaster because one short lived program in a system that has thrived for 36 years is also false.
Propaganda would be what the Hawaii Reporter wrote. That's as slanted as it gets.
My handicap is 10.5. Can't get to single digits to save my life. Stupid game.
Teabaggers... I wish they would have a rally here so I could go and counter protest them.
It is true that I do label the PRA's ruler a socialist, because he meets the dictionary definition of one. To me, it's just as accurate as calling him a politician, a lawyer or a father.
An impressive handicap. I enjoy the game, but my drives often deteriorate into a wild cannonball being unleashed at nearby homes and cars. The short game fortunately has come pretty easy to me.
USEless1.....The videos below are Clinton being interviewed (two parts) onThe Fix Noise Network about himself and bin Laden.
USEless1....You asked about Clinton and bin Laden there was your answer.
Obama has killed more top Al Queda leaders in one year than Bush/Cheney did in eight. The link below is from today's news. Two more killed.
USEless1....You said that "The Dalai Bama also said he'd be with the Muslims if they were in a war with the Christians."
Once again I'm going to have to call you a liar. I'm going to say he never said that. Prove me wrong. Post a video or a report or article from some reliable news agency that proves what you said. That should be easy enough to do, unless you just made it up, right?
USEless1....In other words you lied when you said that he would "be with Muslims in a war with the Christians"
The link below is from FactCheck.org. See how easy it is to find the truth. You ought to try it sometimes.
You should try to go a day without lying. I realize that would be a day with nothing to say but you should give a try.
PenguinBird.....You know what's really funny is in an earlier post on this thread Nonsocialist said about the USEless1, "we are better off because of him". Meaning the neo cons.
I think we liberals are better off because of the USEless1. He makes a fool of himself with every post and represents exactly what these teabaggers are all about.
The best thing is that it reminds everyone that if they vote republican they vote the same way he does.
USEless1....I'm so proud of you. You admitted he didn't say those things.
The first part of recovery is to admit you have a problem. You are on your way and I want you to know that I'm there to support you.
I know it will be hard but when you feel that urge to lie I want you to know you can contact me through the Vindy and I'll help you through it.
One day at a time.
Are you an Obama Zombie? If so, there's help! Take this simple test and find out. Answering yes to any question is sufficient for a diagnosis of OZD (Obama Zombie Disorder).
1. Have you visited 57 states in the USA...and have more to go?
2. Do you consider the teleprompter one of your "peeps" ?
3. Making fun of the Special Olympics with Jay Leno seems like a good idea.
4. You think some folks speak "Austrian".
5. Is your answer to a straightforward foreign policy question, "Why can't I just eat my waffle?"
6. When asked a ninth question at a press conference, do you reply, "Come on! I just answered, like, eight questions."
7. Do you say things like, "Israel is a strong friend of Israel's"?
8. Mathematically, it makes sense to expand the national debt with turtle tunnels, swine odor research (Harkin pork...literally!), gang tattoo removal, covered garages for bicycles, cricket removal in Utah, red snapper research....you get the idea....unless you have OZD.
9. You feel that Arkansas is closer to Kentucky than Illinois...even though you lived in Illinois.
10. Your parents met in the Selma march...4 years after you were born.
If we are to evaluate the intelligence of TEA Party members vs. opponents of the TEA Party, the viewer will be both informed and entertained by the attached video links. And, oh yeah, a recent NYT survey found that:
"while tea party participants are generally more conservative than the broader population, they are also better educated and slightly more successful."
I know we've already proven the intellectual superiority of TEA Party members over libs. But it's just too irresistible (and way too much fun) to keep piling on.
For those seeking a few laughs...
These back-and-forth debates are often much better reads than the articles themselves. After reading through these comments, I'm very glad that people only have one vote.
usa0-pro-teabagger,come on Hank, who are you trying to convince that the teabaggers are not a political party tied at the waist with the GOP? Check out Politico.com and you will find out the truth. The Republicans are just using you teabag wingnuts to raise money just like the insurance industry used you to try to kill health reform and the financial industry will use you to kill that reform.I guess you teabaggers like being used.lol.
Of course, "patriots" don`t fly the American flag upside down so it`s not juvenile to call you teabaggers.Plus, with all the childish nicknames you use Henry, you don`t have a leg to stand on lecturing anyone about being juvenile.By the way, your hero Reagan RAISED taxes 6 times. No teabag rallies then.Obama CUT taxes.Only you wingnuts would put on that lame rally on the green in your hometown of Canfield protesting your taxes being cut.And you wonder why a majority of Americans don`t take you seriously? LOL!!!!
Hey, GM paid back billions today, you wrote it would never happen.Another one of your predictions that didn`t come true. What are you, like 0 for infinity? LOL!!!
USEless1....Obama did not cut taxes n 95% of all Americans. He cut taxes on 95% of all tax payers. You might have to read it a few times to understand it. Take your time.
Useless1....Obama reduced federal income tax on 95% of American tax payers. Deal with it.
Thanks for bringing up Sept. 12, 2009 again. I never get tired of proving your a liar. The link below is from USA Today and they say less than 100,000. That's them saying it not me. If you have a problem with it take it up with them.
It's hilarious that you say there were 2.1 million and you can't produce even one post from a reputable news agency that say there were more than 100,000 teabaggers in DC that day. Why is that? You didn't just make it up did you? Just post the link that backs up what you say.
USEless1.....I know there are numerous legit sites all over the net regarding the Sept. 12, 2009 teabagger picnic in DC. Everyone I see says less than 100,000 teabaggers that day.
You say 2.1 million. Why don't you post one of those sites and prove what you say?
I don't go to tanning salons but you and John Boner will just have to deal with it.
I don't drink soda but I guess you and those fat pigs with their 40 ounce big gulps will just have to deal with it.
It's my understanding that since those things are unhealthy the idea is for the additional tax will help pay for the health care plan.
Come usa0 pro-teabagger,why are wasting your time trying to convince meyou teabaggers are not Republicans.Hank, your movement spewed forth from the bowels of the Republican establishment courtesy of DICK Armey,GOP lobbyists and the insurance industry.Did you check the Politico.com article? Of course you didn`t,because you don`t deal in facts but farce. Why even bother us rational people with your questions about socialist nations? We don`t live in one and will never live in one. This all exists in the minds of you fringe teabaggers, birthers, deathers, oath keepers and your other assorted domestic terrrorist pals.
You need to keep facts straight there Hank,I never posted anything about "who cares" if you teabaggers are a political party. When you destroy yourselves through your sheer lunacy, hypocrisy and stupidity, you will ooze back into the bowels of the GOP once again. It takes more than wearing a flag covered leather coat to be a "patriot". By the way, your boy Nixon used price controls before Carter was elected but nice try. What,no comment about your idol Ronnie Reagan rasing taxes on you SIX times in the 80`s. I guess you teabaggers loved that huh? LOL.Hypocritic fools!
usa0 pro-teabagger hahaha,ok so Reagan had to raise taxes 6 times because of Democrats? Good fantasy but from what I recall the tax raises were the result of a failed economic plan called "voodoo" economics.lol.I think you should check with Reagan`s former budget director David Stockman before you try to absolve the Gipper from blame.Speaking of the Gipper,I wonder how he would react to you teabaggers and all your drivel? According to his own son,Ron Jr, he would be appalled at your cabal, especially the hate for our commander-in-chief.I didn`t agree with Reagan politically but I was angry as an American when he was almost assasinated and wished him a speedy recovery. Now of course, we see the signs at your bagger rallies wishing nothing but harm and hate towards our leader.Hmm,I wonder what your reaction would be?Why would you be afraid of me? I`m not a wingnut that may fly off the handle at any moment. Why is calling you teabaggers juvenile? Do I really need to waste our time pasting and copying all the different names you call Obama,Pelosi or the other bloggers here? I didn`t think so.By the way,I came up with bowels, all on my own but thanks for the kudos. It seems like an apt description. You hope we can meet? Already have amigo, already have.
