When I was in the service back in the 70's I recieved a swine flu shot only to find out about two years later it wans't any good. We need to do a better job of testing before we release any vaccine or drugs to the public. You only have to listen to the drug discriptions that they give you on tv to know it will cure what you have but it may kill you in the process. NO THANK YOU.

I'll get it if it becomes available to me. I'm pretty low on the "at risk" list so I'm not sure whether there will ba any left after the high-risk people get theirs.

I've had the traditional flu shot for years at work and have been flu-free each year. Seems to work well for me at least.

I've listened to all the people over the years who have expressed worries over new medicines and, by and large, those fears generally prove to be unfounded.

On another note, I can't wait to hear how the H1N1 flu shot is part of a socialist conspiracy, or that it was predicted in Mein Kampf, or that somebody in the Obama admin started the whole swinu flu epidemic in an evil attempt to kill babies. So . . . ProMerkin and friends . . . have at it!

Swine flu is a joke. A harvard prof has even said its nothing to worry about. More people die every year from the regular flu.

When they did the vaccines for swine flu in the 70's more people died from the vaccine. I haven't ever had a flu shot and I can't remember getting the flu in years.

The swine flu shot back in 1977 was from a live virus--this isn't.The people that has already gotten it say they wouldn't wish it on anyone.

QuailBird would trust the govt. too. Such childlike faith. No wonder the Bamster was elected president of The United States Of America.

Merkin,

I definitely do NOT trust the government. Where the heck did you come up with that gem?

Nixon was a crook, Reagan let everyone else take the fall for him, Clinton lied to us about the DFAS center, dubya nearly destroyed this country, McCarthy persecuted innocent people for political reasons, Ron Paul is a proven liar, and Congress insists on spreading the pork.

Since you are such an expert at determining what the rest of us think and believe, please explain to me again why I trust the government. I keep forgetting . . .

Would your doctor sign this?

Physician’s Warranty of Vaccine Safety

I (Physician’s name, degree)_________________________, _____ am a physician licensed to practice medicine in the State/Province of ________________, in the country of _________________. My State/Province license number is _______________ , and (if in the USA) my DEA number is _______________. My medical specialty is ________________________

I have a thorough understanding of the risks and benefits of all the medications that I prescribe for or administer to my patients. In the case of (Patient’s name) ___________________________ , age _________ , whom I have examined, I find that certain risk factors exist that justify the recommended vaccinations.

I am aware that vaccines typically contain many of the following fillers:

* aluminum hydroxide
* aluminum phosphate
* ammonium sulfate
* amphotericin B
* animal tissues: pig blood, horse blood, rabbit brain,
* dog kidney, monkey kidney,
* chick embryo, chicken egg, duck egg
* calf (bovine) serum
* betapropiolactone
* fetal bovine serum
* formaldehyde
* formalin
* gelatin
* glycerol
* human diploid cells (originating from human aborted fetal tissue)
* hydrolized gelatin
* mercury thimerosol (thimerosal, Merthiolate(r))
* monosodium glutamate (MSG)
* neomycin
* neomycin sulfate
* phenol red indicator
* phenoxyethanol (antifreeze)
* potassium diphosphate
* potassium monophosphate
* polymyxin B
* polysorbate 20
* polysorbate 80
* porcine (pig) pancreatic hydrolysate of casein
* residual MRC5 proteins
* sorbitol
* tri(n)butylphosphate,
* VERO cells, a continuous line of monkey kidney cells, and
* washed sheep red blood

and, hereby, warrant that these ingredients are safe for injection into the body of my patient. I have researched reports to the contrary, such as reports that mercury thimerosol causes severe neurological and immunological damage, and find that they are not credible.

In order to protect my patient’s well being, I have taken the following steps to guarantee that the vaccines I will use will contain no damaging contaminants.

STEPS TAKEN: ______________________________________________________

Don't be absurd.

If we expect our family doctors to research and guarantee the efficacy and safety of each medication they prescribe or vaccine they administer, they wouldn't have time to do any actual doctoring.

Do ask the guy who sold you a washing machine to sign a written guarantee of the each material included in it?

Or a realtor to guarantee the safety of each mateial in the house you bought?

Other agencies are responsible for that. Our FDA is far from perfect, and have had some recent failures that created media circuses, but for the most part, they have a pretty good track record.

Here's the truth: My family members and I have had numerous vaccinations over the years, with no ill effects what soever. To me, that fact is far more convincing to me than your silly form.
