Al Qaeda and the Taliban are sworn to kill us and Al Qaeda attacked us. We need to get as many countries to support the war against these people with money and troops and hunt them down the way we should have 6 1/2 years ago.

When Iran condemned the attacks on us we missed our chance to get them in line in this fight. If you think about it, countries like Iran are threatened more than we are. The countries in the Middle East that lean towards a western way of life and want to be main stream are hated by these Islamic terrorist more than anyone. Sadly that ship has sailed.

Those terrorist hijacked a religion for their own agenda. If you don't follow us your against God. I think we're all familiar with that tactic.

We have been there long enough . It is getting to be a political war like NAM . We get no strategic materials from there . They don't have the resources to invade us . It would be less costly to deal with them on an as needed basis if they send anyone to our borders . What is disturbing is the fact that our military is being surveyed by our own government for crimes in the theatre of operations there . We go to war to kill and diplomacy is in the realm covered by our diplomats .

Stan the Man Unusual.....said: "They don't have the resources to invade us". Stan, what was 9/11? They already invaded us. What were the bombings in London and the train station in Spain? What was the attack on the Cole or the military barracks in Africa where hundreds died? The plane that blew up over Scotland? They were just driven back from being within 60 miles of the capital of a nation with nuclear weapons. These people are the biggest threat to our way of life in the world today.

These people have changed the way we go about our day to day lives. What we have to go through to fly or attend a large public gathering and so on. And they were allowed to become stronger than ever. They attacked us and you want to cut and run?

Cut and run ? Naw, I would wipe them out . We are restrained and our troops are exposed to prosecution by our own country . Why should our troops be at the mercy of sniper fire and roadside bombs an be prosecuted for retaliating ?

Stan the Man Unusual....you went from "We have been there long enough" to "Cut and run? Naw, I would wipe them out" in less than an hour. LOL!

I realize you are an expert on all things but tell me how you would wipe them out by leaving? Better yet you need to get in touch with the Pentagon, they could use a military expert like yourself. I swear I'm laughing so hard while I'm typing this. You are a funny guy.

My, my, my, Cambridge . I see that I gave you too much credit in the past . Liberalistic thinking will never be upper echelon with you in charge . Perhaps you would like to go over there and let them shoot at you and detonate roadside bombs but not be allowed to pursue them and wipe them out . Wars are meant to be won by killing the enemy .

Yes Cambridge, you sure do seem confused more and more lately .

WE SHOULD EITHER WIPE THEM OUT OR GET OUT ! The games have gone on for far too long .

If Obama wants to charge our troops for bad battlefield etiquette perhaps he should go over there for firsthand battlefield experience .

"Stan,
You know very well that Obama does not want "to charge our troops for bad battlefield etiquette." Where the hell do you come up with that stuff?!? Let me guess . . . Michael Savage?"

No, Obama stated in one of his speeches that troops from the Afghanistan theatre of operations were going to be charged at the culmination of ongoing investigations .

"And how exactly do you propose that "we wipe them out?"

Fuel air bombs rolled out the bay doors of a C130 would be my choice . This should be done at the same time our troops were attacked . Why should our troops be limited in their responce ? Since Obama put forth his new rules of limited engagement our casualties have escalated and now are at the highest that they have ever been .

Obama Calls for Probe into 2001 Massacre of at Least 2,000 Suspected Taliban POWs by US-Backed Afghan Warlord.

The article by journalist James Risen notes that “American officials had been reluctant to pursue an investigation because the warlord, General Abdul Rashid Dostum, was on the payroll of the CIA and his militia worked closely with United States Special Forces in 2001.”

Stan the Man Unusual....The massacre you refer to did not involve any a American solders.

During the bush administration numerous American soldiers were tried, convicted and imprisoned.

During the Obama administration no American soldiers have been tried, convicted or imprisoned.

As usual you make things up to suit your own agenda. Much like the guy you voted for twice.

"The massacre you refer to did not involve any a American solders."

Cambridge, you do exceed expectations . A liberal is one who will crash head on into a wall several times and then if he is able will blame his lack of penetration on others ! May I suggest that you read slowly this time .

"General Abdul Rashid Dostum, was on the payroll of the CIA and his militia worked closely with United States Special Forces in 2001"

Stan the Man Unusual ....I read the article and there isn't any part of the article that states that an American soldier killed anyone. If you want to pretend otherwise be my guest.

Now Cambridge what would this infer ? What would the United States Special Forces have been doing ?

"General Abdul Rashid Dostum, was on the payroll of the CIA and his militia worked closely with United States Special Forces in 2001"

War is to kill people and defeat the enemy . Now we have KOOM BA YA while our forces are being slain . Since Obama put forth his new rules of limited engagement our casualties have escalated and now are at the highest that they have ever been .

Stan and Cambridge,
Let me reassure you that we still have the best fighting force in the world. I am afraid that you have not learned from the old war "Vietnam War". So lets talk about what your "yours and mine" Special Forces are doing. They are using the new tactics and Doctrine not old war tactics and doctrine "Vietnam War". They are using more COIN and less force to find and seek out the enemy. So, let's leave the fighting to the ones that are in charge of it. I am sure that the CofS's, Generals and the Soldiers know how to fight a war. They have had over 275 years of experience in fighting OUR nation’s war.

Robert....I'm more than happy to leave the fighting to the ones in charge. If I did a poor job in expressing that, my bad. I have total confidence in what we are doing in the war against the terrorist in Afganastan and Pakistan. I have no confidence in OhioStan.

The Taliban did not attack us; Al Qaeda did. Treat it like a crime and pick up the perps instead of destroying a country and killing civilians besides. We don't win any friends and just make more enemies...and terrorists.

" They have had over 275 years of experience in fighting OUR nation’s war."

All led by Obama who has no experience in fighting a war nor a grasp on the situation .

The kill ratio for the enemy is increasing in their favor . My position is that either we smash the enemy or pull out .

Quail....I feel your pain. Sadly or friend Stan isn't the only poster in the habit of making things up. He and a few others also feel free to come up with their own interpretation of something they or others use as a reference. "Well is says that but it means this". "Well it says up but I don't consider that up, to me it means down". If you are going to refer to a something used as a reference to the topic, then it is what it is. Don't explain it, interpret or embellish it.

Worse yet they will ask you a question or for some facts to back up your point. When you do your best to answer their question and ask them to back up their point you get some rant about your patriotism or your a socialist or the most hilarious of all where you choose to live. None of it relevant to the topic.

These people always seem to be the ultra conservative. Fortunately I believe they actually hurt the point they are trying to make except with those who share the same set of voices screaming in their heads.

Stan,
Sorry have been in an area with no internet. I know that is really hard to believe now in this day and age but it is true. I wanted to explain what; I mean when I say over 275 years. In written history of America; no one explains what the first American had to do to ensure that they were safe. Even though America doesn’t exist yet; the explorer need to protect themselves from the unknown enemies. This is what brought about the militia’s; which is now the present day National Guard.
