You see where this is going? Just putting money into someone's pocket and quite possibly the same people who are pitching the traffic cameras:

"GPS Angel determines your vehicle's current location through accurate GPS satellite technology and continuously checks an on-board database of thousands of known red light cameras and speed cameras. When you're near a camera in the database, visual and audible alerts provide advance warning."

These cameras will save lives becasue you have to many people that are so inconciderate and think they are they only ones on the road. Saying that we have cameras at high traffic locations that have had accidents. Since those cameras have been up the accidents have gone down to almost nothing. We don't have police officers on every corner twenty four hours a day. The only people that don't want the cameras are the law breakers. I say put em up and then maybe more drivers will get back to being more courtious again.

Yeah a camera is more accuarte then a real police offier. see the way they are trying to pull ths stunt is let's get rid of the police and put up trafic cameras instead. they are meant to be a tool at best, not to be the police force and the fact that the city doesn't own them means the companay who does is the one who wins here so they shoud be banned.

Okay, Pauly. If you say so. Then when you get your ticket in the mail, be it your fault or not due to the flaws in the technology of the cameras, don't come cryin'.

Or when you find out that the ticket was not issued by a human but a machine.

Simply a revenue generator and has nothing to do with safety. The safety claim is a smokescreen to use since these public entities are having a hard time raising taxes and the public employees don't want to accept what the private sector is being forced to accept, concessions!
