They will go 8-3 and make the playoffs. They look the best since 2006 as far as depth goes, as long as their QB Summers stays healthy. If he does, I think they will have a great season!
Absolutely I wish the Penguins a terrific season. What I wish for and what will happen are usually two different things.
We were the 1AA dominant force. No longer. One playoff season out the last 5 (2006). A losing record 3 out the last 6 seasons. The prognosis for this season is dire.
The Penguins under Tressel and Narduzzi were a source of community pride, and brought positive media attention to the valley and University. The community surely benefitted financially as well.
The team may eke out a few wins against a weak foe, as well as have the occasional upset. It is clear to me that they'll always limp along under Heacock, but never thrive. I'm stunned that his performance has been deemed acceptable by the Athletic Department.
Nonsocialist: Aren't government funded universities a form of socialism?!?! My god, you are right! Those rascals are everywhere. The next thing you know, the teams will all be required wear the same government-approved uniforms!
We should all be very afraid. It's only a matter of time . . . I expect to see Castro marching down Pennsylvania any day.
We all have our thoughts re: the role of the Federal government. It has been a debate since the founding of our country. I take the Jeffersonian position that a smaller government allows for more personal liberty and growth.
It would be a stretch to claim that it's hypocritical to accept a public university but not government-run health care and private industry.
BTW, the teams ARE wearing government-approved uniforms. At least they're not goose stepping onto the field (yet), or that the homecoming parade doesn't involve large missles (yet).
I'll say something positive about your socialist friend, Barack Obama...He would do a better job as head coach of the Penguins.
Actually, the government under Teddy Roosevelt almost banned football as it was deemed too dangerous. Of course, back then there was no line of scrimmage, and football was more a mix of rugby and present day football. The government decided that rules needed changed for player safety. At least they got something right!

I only wish Jim Tressel was back. They haven't been the same team since he left. Maybe it's time for another new coach?
Amazing! A question upon which we all can agree! I guess that's the beauty of sports.
Go Guins! Sure would be nice to return the playoffs. Attending the YSU/Boise State game in Huntington was one of the best weekends I've had.

On second thought:

Funny Quail and a good point
The Quail,
Amusing.

I found a great site to discuss FCS/IAA football. I'd like to see more YSU fans be apart of this community:

They need another coach

Why do they leave these stupid questions on the site for like weeks it seems.......most places change them daily....kinda like your skivies....LOL
Maybe the Vindy writers change the questions when they change their skivies!!!
