I believe more people would visit the Chevy Centre if it were easier to access. I suggest using the city bus system to do a "Park N Ride" option to go to the shows. Have a designated meeting area where people can drive to, park and ride the bus into downtown Youngstown.
Pessimism doesn't sell cities, it sinks them. As long as grumps keep dissing the place and negativity reigns on this website and others, no one will want to locate their business in Y-town because no business wants to locate in an area where all the potential employees are negatives and grumps.
If you can't think of anything positive to say about the Mahoning Valley, don't say anything at all.
Yes I think the new company will help the Chevy Centre. If the crtics will stop complaining maybe things wil get done in Youngstown!
Critics do not cause failure, poor plans, failure to plan, failure to execute the plan and failure to read the needs of the community cause failure.
Start posting the spectacular successes of the Chevy Center, or even other similar rust belt, city owned venues in like demographic environments. If you can’t show economic success, don’t post about hope.
This makes about as much sense as “If you can't think of anything positive to say about the Mahoning Valley, don't say anything at all”. An economic burden to the city doesn’t really seem to make a lot of sense. Oh, that’s right, we are going to fund it with a JAD!
Mayor Jay is trying to make economically viable entities outside of the city pay for this Albatross. We certainly have a right to point out failures of the city to all who will read.
