Explore additional cooperative spending with neighboring cities and townships for utilities, materials and contracts for the purpose of power buying and reducing costs.
Conducting business in the best interest of the taxpayers through transparency and availability to the taxpayers. Continue branding Austintown as the hub for new business opportunities to help in increasing revenue for our community.
|Qualifications||As a business owner in the community, I understand the struggle that businesses have on a daily basis as it relates to the expenses of benefit packages (ie. health care, workers’ comp, and retirement programs), business overhead and additional expenses. Although I realize that Business accounting is different from Government accounting, as a Financial Services Specialist and Insurance Agent, every day I assist businesses and families in managing their budget planning and long-term financial goals. I am familiar with the UAN (Uniform Accounting Network) our Township uses to assist with their fiscal reporting. I have been involved in grant writing and understand this intricate process and have seen the benefits that Grants do bring to our community. My previous position as an Application Engineer at Delphi Automotive, I have negotiated and implemented cost savings and cost reductions with business throughout the world.|
|Positions on the issues||Staying on top of the expenses and costs of the infrastructure as it relates to the Racino and the additional future development for Austintown.
Being the gate-keeper for the Township finances and being diligent as to the expenditures and always looking and seeking new ideas to assist in revenue building and cost reduction. Always conducting business in the best interest of the taxpayers. I will reinforce the Trustees position of paying off of the communication system with the first $850,000 of the funds from the Racino.
I will continue to work diligently with all of the Austintown Trustees to launch our community to a new level of growth and development.
