EducationI graduated from Austintown Fitch in 1987. I then attended YSU, graduating in 1991 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. I majored in Accounting and minored in both Finance and Economics. I have worked in governmental accounting for over 20 years.
EmployerI am the current Fiscal Officer for Austintown Township. I manage the Township's $14.6 million dollar budget. I work closely with the Trustees to ensure Township services are maintained at the level the residents expect. I was appointed in January 2012 to fulfill the term ending March 31, 2012. I was then retained to serve the term commencing April 1, 2012.

Reasons for runningI am running for the office of Austintown Township Fiscal Officer to continue to serve the residents of Austintown Township. I enjoy the challenge of the ever-changing needs of the community. I am proud to live in Austintown Township and want to keep the Township running efficiently and effectively.
Priorities If elected I will continue to maintain a strong hold over the Township's budget. I will keep spending in line with the current needs of the Township. Racino receipts are earmarked and will be utilized to better the Township's infrastructure. I will continue to look for grant opportunities as well as joint ventures with neighboring communities to keep the tax dollars working to their fullest potential.
QualificationsI have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting with minors in Finance and Economics. I have hands-on experience to maintain my position as Austintown Township Fiscal Officer. I am currently fulfilling these duties. I have vast knowledge of governmental accounting as I have been involved with Austintown Township for over 20 years. I am proud to be a part of the Township in the financial aspect. I appreciate the resident voters who support the Township's levies as these are the major funding sources for the Township. I work closely with the Trustees and Department Heads to ensure efficient and effective spending. The budgets are strictly adhered to and reviewed continually.
Positions on the issues I am proud to say that Austintown Township is a community devoted to the best interest of its residents. Austintown's Police and Fire Departments are continually working to improve their services. The Park Department is constantly adding new attractions to provide for the residents' needs and wants. The Road Department's paving program has been restored. The Zoning Department is actively working to maintain the integrity of all neighborhoods within the Township. I support the continued growth of the Township and am excited for what the future holds.
