|Employer||I am currently a manager (MT) for Aaron's Sales and Leasing in Austintown, Ohio. As an MT, I am responsible for assisting the General Manager with day to day operations of the store and I am responsible for overseeing nearly 800 customer's accounts.
I am also a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for the Mahoning County Sheriffs Department and am assigned to duties by the Sheriff as necessary.
I have also been serving the past four years as Austintown Trustee. As Trustee I am responsible for maintaining a balanced budget of over 14 million dollars while providing the highest level of services possible to the communities residents. I have been responsible for negotiating labor union contracts for all township employees and departments. I act as a liaison between local, county, state, and national elected officials and interact on a routine basis with local and state government administration offices. As trustee it is imperative to maintain a good working relationship with my colleagues as we must work together as a team to ensure the continued successes of our community.

|Reasons for running||I am seeking re-election to continue the work I have been involved with as your present trustee. I'm seeking re-election to further enhance the community I serve and love.
I am "Running on Results". These quality of life results have nurtured:
~proud police and fire services
~focused zoning initiatives and planning to better the neighborhoods and business communities.
~growth and economic development on the main corridors.
After 3 years, there is still work to be done and share in. Not only the opening of "Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course", but that Austintown remains a destination location.
I want to continue to see the smiles at our wonderful Austintown Senior Center. I also want to continue to provide my full devotion to community projects like the return of fireworks to our park this past July. Quality of Life is what we've been able to do with a "smarter and better" government.
|Priorities||If re-elected I will continue to work tirelessly to be sure that our safety services are provided the necessary equipment to provide the BEST service to our community.
I will continue the land use policies implemented in the past four years to protect the integrity of the residential neighborhoods. I will continue to take aggressive enforcement action through nuisance laws to ensure quality of life within our neighborhoods.
I will continue to be a champion for more community related events within our park system and will continue work towards growing our parks system and rebuilding existing infrastructure of the parks.
I will continue to work with neighboring communities to achieve economies of scale, for the delivery of government services, such as the joint paving program with Canfield and Boardman and the joint purchase of a new radio system with Boardman Township.
I will work with department heads and continue the tradition of grant writing to ease the tax burden of the community.
I will to work with my colleagues to ensure the continued success of our township.
|Qualifications||As a person who has served in law enforcement for the past 12 years and also as a trustee for the previous 3 years I feel I have a great knowledge of what "Public Service" means.
I have used my years of law enforcement experience to work closely with our safety service leaders to optimize our workforce efforts, providing the best service to our community, and provide the best community safety efforts.
I also hold positions in the business community that have provided me with experience and knowledge to operate businesses with multi-million dollar budgets. This business sense translates into a working knowledge to best run our community. My private sector sales experience will allow me to continue to successfully promote the positive attributes of Austintown Township.
My experience in non-profit, business, and government organizations help me be a well rounded and effective policy maker and visionary for the township. These experiences in working with others as a board member have assisted me in growing and working with my elected colleagues as a member of a team.

|Positions on the issues||Police - continue to be sure that staffing levels are adequate to meet the needs of the township's demands.
Fire - Look into public/ private partnerships to facilitate increased response by first responders to medical calls while maintaining the current mix of full/ part-time staffing levels.
Road - Look into maximizing discretionary funding to optimize the amount of infrastructure when paving roads and maintaining storm water infrastructure.
JEDDS - Austintown has successfully grown its business community without the use of JEDDS. It is my belief that economic development will continue without these types of agreements. Specifically speaking in relation to the racino project, Penn National had already committed to our community based on our tax base and existing community set up. Any further expense placed on this business could have been detrimental to the project.
Any further discussion of JEDDS should be through the electors of the Austintown Community at the ballot box.
