Anthony's reasons for seeking office:

In these tough, economic times, I have the experience needed for the role of President of Council. I will continue to promote a positive and professional image for our community. Having held the past office of 1st Ward Councilman and current President of Council, I hope to continue to expand on my overall political experience and knowledge to better serve the citizens of Struthers.

Anthony's qualifications:

Current President of Council, 2005-present. 1st Ward Councilman, 2001-2005. Democrat Precinct Committeeman, 1998-present. Chairman, Police & Fire Committee, 2002-2005. Member Public Utility Committee, 2001-2005. Served as Canfield Police Officer,1996. I currently hold an active police commission. This role has allowed me to research the Ohio Revised Codes(when needed) in assisting with decision making. I am the current owner/operator of Anthony & Sons. By owning my business, it has given me the experience to deal with the general public. When making important decisions, I try to keep an open mind and conduct the necessary research to make sound/informed decisions.

Where Anthony stands on the issues:

My opponent has no previous political experience. Due to the effects of the economy, there are budget restraints that we are challenged with. It is with my past and present experience that will assist in my decision making. I know how to balance a budget. I understand the big picture and understand what is important for the community.

Anthony's priorities if elected:

Continue to promote cooperation amongst council, Administration and President of Council. Act as a liaison amongst the administration, council and the community. I will continue to use my experience as a legislator and entrepreneur to promote professional and sound decision making.
