Boardman Township, OH
Boardman Township Trustee
Boardman Township Trustee/December, 1999-December, 2005
There have been many changes in Boardman since I left office in 2005, most were not positive. I believe it is time to restore mutual trust and respect to the office.
My six years in this office and twenty-eight years as a local businessman/employer have given me the experience, ability and knowledge to address the challenges facing the township. I have also been involved in the community for many years, having served on numerous boards. I have learned to work with many people to achieve positive outcomes, for example: 1.) Boardman Civic Association (past President and board member--received the 'Outstanding Citizen Award' in 2006). 2.) Hope House Visitation (past President and board member). 3.) Steel Valley Homes for Youth (current Vice-President). 4.) Downtown Kiwanis (past board member). 5.) Market Street Business Alliance (past President).
Fiscal responsibility and confidence in the township government are essential. I believe that a consensus must be achieved before we can create a plan to move forward in this difficult economy. Restoring township services is vital.
Reestablishing trust and confidence in our township government, as well as working with other elected officials both within the township and countywide, are high priorities. We also need to interact with our employees in a business-like manner to accomplish fiscal responsibility while restoring our township services. It is imperative that everyone work together for the well-being of the entire township.
