- Dan's reasons for seeking office:
I am seeking re-election to help finish financial and budgetary items that I have been a part of starting. The finance and energy committees have identified many areas were the city can save into the millions of dollars per year, and these need to be completed.
- Dan's qualifications:
20+ years in business; I am a founder, director, and 2 time president of a large computer network across NE Ohio, I have been a two time President of the Warren Area Board of Realtors. I have experienced successes and some failures of business in the last 25 years and feel that the experience can translate well into solving the current financial problems in Warren.
- Where Dan stands on the issues:
Finances are the major issue in this race, service levels, safety forces, crime, and neighborhood stabilization all flow from the ability to pay for it. There has been no comprehensive plan to deal with, project, or improve the tax base of Warren and that must be addressed. Expenses hat can be controlled, principally energy costs, can save the city over $1 million per year.
- Dan's priorities if elected:
The Energy Committee I chair, has found many ways to save money across the city that are being studied now. They range from projected savings nearing $1 million in Water Pollution Control, to garbage tipping fees, and basic costs to heat buildings. I will focus on these issues. These savings are not one time savings. They should continue to save the city millions of dollars into the future years.
