Randy's reasons for seeking office:

I have served nearly four years, and created a vast network of friends/colleagues, both political and non-political, to accomplish many positive things for Canfield Township. Now that the initial groundwork has been laid, and projects have been set into motion, I would love the opportunity to build upon this groundwork and see that these projects are carried out to their successful completion.

Randy's qualifications:

Obviously, four years as a township trustee under my belt -- plus over 30 years of leadership roles in volunteer and appointed positions in the local community.

Where Randy stands on the issues:

One very important issue that needs attention is the impact of poor septic systems in different areas of the township. This has been my biggest concern since the first day I took office. The Sanitary Engineer has been very helpful, even though there is so much more to be done. This current "recession" has been a great hindrance, mainly because it is much easier to get state/federal assistance when residential/commercial development is booming. A small pocket of residents have expressed displeasure with the development of the new Township Parkland. This could be a major point of discussion during the campaign process. I have stood in favor of developing the Park property to the fullest extent that we are financially able. Do NOT be confused with the fact that I am not in favor of building a new township administration building on that sire at this present time. Lastly, annexation has been a sword of Damocles hanging over our heads for a while. Canfield Twp has joined forces with Austintown and Boardman Twps. to form a new Water & Stormwater District. This position will thwart those efforts, and allow us to move forward in these important areas.

Randy's priorities if elected:

There is not one single top priority in my mind. So many projects and objectives have been initiated, my priority would be to keep on top of them and do all in my power to see them completed successfully; ie: the Water District, the new Parkland, the sewer problems, residential and commercial development that has slowed, and the job security for our employees.
