John Dill

From:

Campbell, OH

Office Sought:

Mayor City of Campbell

Offices previously held:

Mayor Dec 99-present

John's reasons for seeking office:

We have worked hard for the pass six years for the financial recovery of the city and we should be out this year. We have made a lot of progress in our brownfield and I want to be a part of its development and the jobs it creates.

John's qualifications:

I was in the private sector as small businessman for over twenty years and the mayor for ten years.

Where John stands on the issues:

We need a better tax base in the city and the only place we have for good paying jobs is our brownfield site. We are building a new sanitary lift station and paving Casey Drive. We have a new business that has committed to build here with new jobs. We need to address our infrastructure problems and we have with new water & storm lines, paving of roads.

John's priorities if elected:

Campbell, like all of Mahoning County, needs jobs. We have worked long and hard on our brownfield site and we are so close to seeing more jobs here. We have built a good relationship with the largest property owner, Casey Equipment, and they have been a good partner. We are addressing the infrastructure problems there and we hope all will be done late next year. We have an earmark from Congressmen Tim Ryan for a new Sanitary Lift Station of $720,000 and will partner with the Mahoning County Engineer's office for a grant for this project. We also have a 629 state grant of $230,00.00 for the Casey Drive project and will apply for an Issue One grant for the balance funds. We are moving forward and working together for the betterment of the city.
