VINDICATOR FILE PHOTO...The Paramount Theater, downtown Youngstown, reopened in the former Liberty Theater in July 1929 when the city had a bustling downtown anchored by two major department stores, a host of other retail shops and several theaters. In the hey-dey of motion pictures, block-long queues were standard at all the downtown theaters most Saturdays and Sundays.
