Peg Sigle of Boardman experienced her greatest joy and surprise in May this year when she opened her door to see her grandson, Marine Cpl. William Jenkins, who was home on leave. She said, "I know he's 'William' to the USMC, but he'll always be 'Billy' to me!" Bill, who is a 2010 graduate of Boardman High School, began calling Peg "G-Ma" years ago and still does.

Leanna Hartsough is the source of great joy to her grandmother, Lana VanAuker of Canfield, who shot this picture of Leanna. According to Lana, Leanna, who is attending YSU on an athletic scholarship, is a member of the university's track and field team that won the Horizon League event. Her personal best high jump is 5 feet 6 inches, ranking her fifth in the state of Ohio.
