SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR The 10th annual Summer Sizzler July 12 at Hubbard Community Pool on Hall Avenue was a resounding success. The basket auction grew from 40 baskets the first year to 80 baskets and certificates this year donated by area merchants. Swimming, crafts and food were enjoyed. Other fundraisers this year will be a casino trip on Aug. 16 and a wine tour in October. For information call 330-534-5358.

Eight of the Campbell Police Department’s 13 full-time officers elected to take — and passed — a physical-fitness exam Sunday, and each will receive a $1,000 stipend for their efforts.
