SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Home Savings Charitable Foundation presented $2,000 recently to the Butler Institute of American Art. The donation will help support the youth artist honors program and art education classes in Youngstown and Warren. SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Greenford Lutheran church recently recognized recipients of the Leslie Ann Seidner Jenkins Youth Memorial Fund. The fund administers the Leslie Ann scholarship. Jenkins was a lifelong member of the church. The fund’s mission is to promote Christian experiences that can positively affect the lives of young people of the church. Construction by Ohio Department of Transportation workers on U.S. Route 224 and Interstate 680 continues and has tested the patience of motorists driving along Route 224. Workers have, however, completed the northbound ramp to I-680, alleviating some of the traffic backups into Poland.

The murder trial of Richard A. Clark began Tuesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, in the death of Dwayne Hickman, 49, of Williamsburg Street Northwest, Warren. In addition to an aggravated murder charge that carries a possible penalty of life in prison without parole, Clark is charged with aggravated robbery.
