Canfield Lions Club sponsored charter night for the newly formed West Mahoning County Lions Club on Oct. 5 at Deerfield Town Hall. More than 100 Lions from District 13-D attended to celebrate the new club. Paul Metrovich, past council chair, inducted the charter members; Tom Zickefoose, district governor, installed the charter officers and presented the charter to Jerry Roland, charter president, past council chair and past district governor. Zickefoose also presented a club sponsorship patch to Dan Grossman, president of Canfield Lions. Master of ceremonies was Bob Whited, past district governor and extension chair for Region 1. Ken Carano was the speaker.
