SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Boardman Lions Club received the Club Excellence Award from Lions Club International at the April membership meeting at the Magic Tree Pub and Eatery. The award is given to clubs that excel in community service, membership growth, communication and organizational management. William Rausch, right, zone chairman, gave the club banner patch and president’s excellence pin to Terry Shears, King Lion. Only four clubs in the district received the award for 2011-2012.

Special to The Vindicator The Ursuline Center, 4280 Shields Road, Canfield, is preparing for its 4th Annual Car Trunk & Treasure Sale, set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 27. An inside rental space costs $35 for one 8-foot table and two chairs. Outside, vendors can get two standard parking spaces for $25.
