Madelyn P. Hastings | The Vindicator One of Joyce Pogany’s many civic contributions to Austintown was her involvement to help preserve the Austin Log Cabin while serving as president of the Austintown Historical Society. A picture of the cabin hangs on the wall behind Pogany and appears in the book she is holding, which she wrote and titled “Austintown.”

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Josh Joki, center, regional director of the Siffrin Group on Westchester Drive in Austintown, was recently inducted by Chuck Baker Jr., left, as the newest member of the Rotary Club of Austintown. On the right is Ron Carroll, president. Joki is an Austintown resident and father of five. He commented that the variety of activities done by Rotary was his inspiration for joining. In other business, long-time member Frank Santisi became the newest honorary member of the club. He is a past president and active member in many aspects of the organization.
