SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, 920 Dryden Ave., Youngstown, is sponsoring a four-week literacy program, Summer Bridge, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 1 through 26. The program is free for children in grades one through six. It is funded by a grant from the Raymond John Wean Foundation’s Neighborhood Success and Leadership program. Classes will focus on reading, exercise, music and art. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. The committee of sponsors seated, from left, are Jaylah Reed, the Rev. Willie Eva Peagler, director of Summer Bridge; and Joshua Vinson. Standing are the Rev. William C. King Jr., pastor of the church, and Ruthie King, director of Christian education services.
