SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Humane Society of Columbiana County will open a new Animal Resource Complex in July inside the 6,000-square-foot former ReStore building at 721 E. Pidgeon Road in Salem. It will include a climate-controlled exercise area, private pet party location and a memorial wall for pets, and it will offer teaching resources for school-age children in pet care and interactive behavior. Volunteers are needed and there are opportunities for advertising and sponsorship. Humane Society members and volunteers with their dogs, from left, are Sally Geary with Benny, Darlene Jenkins with Bobby and Rudy and Stephanie Lambert with Snickers and Hops. For information, upcoming events or to donate and sponsor, call 330-332-2600 or visit www.columbianahumane.org.
