SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Two students from Struthers High School were among nearly 100 students who attended the Rotary District 66650 Youth Leadership Awards Conference in Howland the last weekend of February. The conference is a training program that deals with leadership, ethics, building self-confidence and self-esteem, elements of community and global citizenship. Students selected and sponsored this year by Struthers Rotary were Lindsey Opritza and Olivia Torisk. From left are Tom Baringer, Struthers Rotary president; Mary Ann Morell, vocational service co-chairwoman; Opritza; Dyana Davanzo, Interact Club adviser; Torisk; and Joe Nohra, Struthers schools superintendent. Students are chosen based on their leadership roles and participation in school and community activities.
