Mahoning Valley Historical Society, in recognition of Black History Month, will present “The Storm, The Whirlwind & the Earthquake: Perspectives into the Black Abolitionist’s Movement” at 7 pm. Tuesday at the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center, 325 W. Federal St., Youngstown. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Diane Barnes, professor of history at Youngstown State University. Shown are Bill Lawson, left, MVHS executive director; and local historians and panelists Stacey Adger, Vince Shivers and Kenneth King. The event is free and open to the public.
