SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Flower Wagon Garden Club recently began its celebration of its 40th anniversary year with a meeting at the home of Barbara Banks. The club also has been a member of Garden Forum for 40 years. It was founded in 1973 and founding members are Banks, Judi Kotch and Connie Meek. The club has participated in planting the Poland “P” in flowers, landscaping at Struthers Library and highway planting on Water Street. The club also visited with residents of Blackburn Home and fashioned flowers for the residents of Glen Ellen. To mark the celebration, members received a stained-glass desk lamp, handcrafted by George Banks of Glass Gems. Club members seated from left are, Jeanne Lowry, Leilani Drake, Banks and Mary Alice Fedor; standing are Millie Sturm, Kotch, Terri Dinger, Rose Gavozzi and Cecily Roach.
