Veterans’ Outreach, a nonprofit charitable organization, was recently presented with a check for $5,000 from Home Savings Charitable Foundation for annual program support. The organization has a primary mission of serving and honoring all veterans, including, shelter for homeless vets, rent, utility payments for terminated or near-termination accounts, auto repair, clothing, insurances, relocation, glasses and lay counseling. Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning County, a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian ministry, recently received a check for $5,000 from Home Savings Charitable Foundation. The money will be used to help finance the purchase and installation of a new energy-efficient heating/cooling system at Habitat’s ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road, Struthers.
