JAMV coordinates programs in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana and Ashtabula counties.

Donation is $2. The event will include quilting demonstrations and fabric dying, a country store with quilt-related items and four fabric and sewing machine vendors. Elizabeth Smart, ABC news commentator and advocate against child abduction, speaks at the Healthy Woman Expo and Dinner at the Mahoning Country Club in Girard. Smart, who was 14 when she was kidnapped from her Salt Lake City home in 2002 and held for nine months by her kidnappers, spoke of making the decision during her ordeal that she would survive “no matter what.” Smart shared her story with 650 women Wednesday night at the expo, which was sponsored by ValleyCare Health Systems of Ohio.
