Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning County, a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian ministry, recently received a check for $5,000 from Home Savings Charitable Foundation. The money will be used to help finance the purchase and installation of a new energy-efficient heating/cooling system at Habitat’s ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road, Struthers. From the left is Mary Kropinak, Home Savings Struthers office; Monica Craven, executive director of Habitat; and Linda Hartwig, ReStore manager. Habitat was founded on the principle that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live.
