The Logan Brooke neighborhood in Liberty Township recently enjoyed its annual block party and were treated to a visit by the township’s fire department. Kids of all ages learned about the firetruck and ambulance vehicles. Artist Ray Simon is donating one of his masterpieces to the Simply DeVine Gala and Auction, a benefit for The Way Station of Columbiana. It will be included in the auction that is part of the gala planned from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 11 at The Links at Firestone Farms, 105 St. Andrews Drive, Columbiana. The 24-by-36-inch print, titled “The Crucifixion: Father Forgive Them For They Know Not What They Do,” has a retail value of $5,000. Admiring the painting are, from left, Cindy Burdick, gala co-chairwoman; Vicki Hopper, executive director of The Way Station; Simon; and Gail Hettrick, gala publicity chairwoman.
