Students from Struthers High School Interact Club attended a recent Rotary District 6650 Interact Conference in Salem. More than 100 students and advisers attended including students from Austintown, Canfield, Howland, Salem, Warren, East Palestine and Columbiana. Interact is Rotary International’s service club for 12- to 18-year-olds. They are self-governing and self-supporting. Representatives from Struthers are Dyana Davanzo, left, Struthers Interact adviser; Olivia Torisk, Alexa Bayus, Tyler Noble, Kara Trella, Tom Baringer, Struthers Rotary president and District Interact co-chairman; Lindsey Opritza, Marc Weems and Frank Percic.

Youngstown State senior Damian Eargle (21) passed the 1,000-point milestone last week against James Madison, the same game in which he broke YSU’s career blocks record.
