Hubbard Historical Society’s McBride House, 27 Hager St., will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Lucille Wilson, pictured with a life-sized nutcracker, will be on hand to show and talk about her
collection of nutcrackers. German folklore says that nutcrackers
were given as keepsakes to bring good luck to your family and protect your home. Visitors are welcome to take cameras. McBride also will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 1 during the Chamber of Commerce Holidays in Hubbard trolley tour.
