Hubbard Historical Society’s McBride House, 27 Hager St., will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Lucille Wilson, pictured with a life-sized nutcracker, will be on hand to show and talk about her collection of nutcrackers. German folklore says that nutcrackers were given as keepsakes to bring good luck to your family and protect your home. Visitors are welcome to take cameras. McBride also will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 1 during the Chamber of Commerce Holidays in Hubbard trolley tour.

Local boxer Alejandro “Popo” Salinas will headline the 24th annual “Thanksgiving Feast,” a 16-bout amateur show at St. Lucy Hall in Campbell on Saturday. The event is sponsored by area boxing trainer and Southside Boxing Club owner Jack Loew, who also trains Salinas.
