Members of the Youngstown Lions Club, from left, Bill Ruggles, Diane Hardenbrook, George Kolesar, Bryan Hughes, Ed Brant, Roy Reese, Nancy Cuffle and Don Mathews, are busy collecting eyeglasses for those in need. The club will give the glasses to Uniontown Lion Recycling Center, where they are checked to make sure they can be recycled. The glasses are sent overseas with eye doctors to underdeveloped countries. To donate your used eyeglasses, drop them off at the following locations: Howard Hanna Real Estate, Poland and Canfield offices; libraries; Youngstown City Hall; Wickliffe Presbyterian Church; Eye Care Associates, downtown; Easter Seals; Dr. James Ellashek’s office in Canfield and Park Vista in Youngstown. Drop boxes are available for hospitals, schools, churches and places of business; contact the Youngstown Lions Club.
