Helen Gormley of Columbiana can’t help but smile in her backyard garden, a peaceful place brimming with whimsical touches. Her garden will be showcased as part of the third annual Alice in Wonderland Tea and Garden Tour planned by Columbiana Women’s Club from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 8 and 9. Tea will be served at the clubhouse, 121 N. Main St., Columbiana, with an accompanying Alice in Wonderland Alexander Doll Raffle. The garden tour includes the Lutheran Church Garden, Barleytwist Tea Garden, Maria Green’s rustic garden, John Hippley’s Park Garden, Donna Bekar’s backyard garden with koi pond and waterfall, and Gormley’s garden. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Vivian’s and the Next-to-New Shop. On the days of the event, tickets may be bought at the Women’s Club and each of the participating gardens. Tickets for the tea cost $10, for the garden tour, $10, and for both events, $15.
