Easter Seals is beneficiary: MTC Easter Seals and Youngstown Hearing & Speech Center was recently presented with a check from the Youngstown-Columbiana Association of Realtors in the amount of $7,300. Ken Sklenar, right, president and chief executive of the recently merged organization, accepts the donation from Joan Zarlenga, 2011 YCAR president. Each year YCAR chooses a charitable organization to be the recipient of funds raised through annual dues, educational classes and 50-50 raffles at each of their meetings.

Pictures are claim to frame: Diane Chappell Foreman, of Chappell’s House of Pictures & Frames in Salem, took second place in the print competition of the Ohio Professional Picture Framer’s Association. Her work qualified for entry in the national competition, which will be in Las Vegas later this month. All PPFA members who enter the competition are given the same image and encouraged to express their individual taste. Foreman’s entry was judged on its quality of construction and materials used, along with visual impact.
