Fables come to life: On Jan. 24, the Niles SCOPE Senior Center will host the production of “Aesop’s Fables” by Move Over Broadway Productions. The show is directed by Marlene Menaldi and features community theater performers Terry Shears, Grace Vouvalis and JoAnne Santagata. A luncheon at noon will precede the show, which begins at 1 p.m. The cost for SCOPE members is $1 for the luncheon and the play. “Aesop’s Fables” is a collection of stories credited to a storyteller, Aesop, who lived in ancient Greece. The program is provided by the Niles SCOPE Quilters Group. The proceeds of their recent quilt raffle were donated to the center for this event, which is part of the Lunch ’n Learn series. Preregistration is required. To register call the center at 330-544-2676 or stop in at 14 E. State St., Niles.
