A four-day Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament will begin Thursday at Uncle Sam’s Bar and Grille, 320 E. Taggart St., East Palestine. All proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of Columbiana County. Games will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday with $25 Freeze Out, 6 p.m. Friday with $25 and $10 Rebuy for the first two rounds, 1 p.m. Saturday with a $35 Bounty and 1 p.m. Sunday with $25 and $10 Rebuy for the first two rounds. An overview on women’s lives during the 18th century, including their role in the Revolution, were just some of the interesting highlights of the presentation. Eiselstein said he plans to continue growing his shrimp, but one nearby resident has been complaining to the city about the large unfenced and uncovered holes in the ground.
