Columbiana County Antique Tractor Association pulling club recently met for the awards banquet at Mile Branch Grance, Alliance. Participants were from Ohio, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Shown holding their trophies are Brandon Handy, left, from Berlin Center who pulled with an Oliver 66 and placed second in the 2750A and 3000A classes, and Sean McKarns of Kensington, Ohio, who used an Oliver 88 and won a pull in the 6000A class. Other awards were given to Harold Sanor who has participated for 65 years with Farmall tractors and placed third in the 4500A class and first in the 5000A class. Grand prize was won by Dan and Karen Hawk. The club holds meetings at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at North Georgetown Fire Hall. Anyone interested may attend. At a recent ceremony at the Masonic Temple in Youngstown, Dale E. Hawkins was installed as the Seventh Arch Adjutant for the Grand Council of Royal and Select Masons of Ohio. He will assist in promoting activities of the Grand Council with the local councils. He served the local council and is a past president of the Seventh Arch Association. The Austintown Lions and Lioness Clubs recently toured the Rust Belt Brewery in the B&O Station. The tour guide was owner Ken Blair. The clubs observed the details of the brewing operation and sampled different types of brews Rust Belt offers.

Fifth-grade students at Springfield Intermediate School catch numbered fish with magnetic poles from inflatable kiddie pools, then calculate the mean, median and mode of numbers. The activity was part of a camping-themed Math Night on Thursday in the school gym.
