The Valentine’s Day Dinner committee at the Ursuline Center, 4280 Shields Road, Canfield, is planning the sixth annual event for 6:30 p.m. Feb. 14 in the center’s auditorium. Committee members seated are Sister Francis Marie Sopko, left, Eileen Novotny, Maggie Wellington, Sue Ricciutti and Peggy Eicher. Those standing are Joan Sonnett, left, Ray Novotny, Sister Jeanne Cigolle, Betty Clarke and Mary Yvo Assion. Tickets will be $25 and will include appetizers, entree, dessert, wine bar and entertainment. Canfield’s Broad Street Diner will cater. Proceeds will benefit the ministries of the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown. For tickets or information, call Peggy Eicher at 330-717-6806.

GFWC Ohio Warren Junior Women’s League celebrated its 43rd annual Champagne Luncheon, “An Officer and a Gentleman Christmas,” Nov. 16 at Packard Music Hall in Warren. Proceeds went to the Children’s Rehabilitation Center so no child will be turned away because of inability to pay for physical, developmental or speech therapy. Some of those who enjoyed the festivities were, front, Faith Rodgers, left, Johnathon Brown, Damon Reed, Justin Keener and Giuilianna Villio. Standing are Karen Margala, WJWL president; John Blake; Julie Vugrinovich, luncheon chairwoman; Katlyn Welch; Esther Garland, fashion coordinator; and Bob Foster, executive director of CRC. Children who attend the center modeled winter outfits during the fashion show and were given the clothes.

Pittsburgh Steelers offensive guard David DeCastro (66) practices during training camp at the team training facility in Latrobe, Pa. The Steelers drafted DeCastro with their first pick in the NFL draft in April, but the rookie injured his knee in a preseason game and has yet to play in the regular season. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that DeCastro will be worked in at right guard during practice this week and could start Sunday when the Steelers play the Dallas Cowboys.
