The annual plant sale sponsored by Holborn Herb Growers Guild is planned for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 12 at the Boardman Park Ex-servicemen’s Pavilion (across from park offices). Featured will be culinary and decorative herbs, annuals, perennials, everlastings, fairy gardens and geraniums. The Holborn Herb Growers maintain the gardens throughout Western Reserve Village in the Canfield Fairgrounds and at Boardman Park’s Summer Kitchen. Girard Junior Women will sponsor a trunk sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 12 in the Girard City parking lot, across the street from the Girard City Hall/Justice Center. Preparing for the sale are, from left, Kathy Rossell, Martha Altiere and Laura Sobnosky (and her daughter.) The public is invited to buy or sell items, and spaces to set up a table or sell directly from a car trunk are $10. There also will be a special sale table of items donated by the group. All proceeds will benefit the Girard community. For table reservations call 330-545-5962.

The Women’s Altar and Rosary Guild of St. Thomas the Apostle Church (formerly St. Vincent de Paul), 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will sponsor its annual rummage sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 4 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 5. Holding a banner listing the details are, from left, Florence Gordon, treasurer; Pat Slavin, project chairwoman and secretary; and Dianne Setterberg, guild co-president. The sale will include household and kitchen items, linens, crafts, children’s clothes, small furniture, jewelry, books and more. There will be free admission and parking, and Saturday will be half-price day.
