Members of Canfield Cub Scout Pack 25 and prospective Scouts competed in a doughnut-eating contest at last year’s Roundup at Brown Pavilion at Camp Stambaugh. The Roundup takes place each year in September to enable interested boys to experience Scouting. This year’s event will be Sept. 26.

Associated Neighborhood event to honor 5: Associated Neighborhood Centers is having its annual meeting and fundraiser dinner-dance Oct. 7 at McGuffey Center, 1649 Jacobs Road, Youngstown. The evening will begin with a grand patrons and sponsors reception at 5:30 p.m. Honorees will be Timothy Butler Jr., Mildred L. Payne, the Rev. Edmond and Constance Southerland and Marilyn Wright.
