Boardman police officer Bill Woods and his children, Elena, left, and Jacob, plant a red maple tree at Stadium Drive Elementary School in Boardman as part of a Sept. 11 commemoration. Elena, a second-grader, and Jacob, a third-grader, were among the Boardman students, police, firefighters and the Boardman Band who planted trees and placed flags to mark the event.
