This silver cigarette case was carried in France during World War I by Army doughboy Willis William “Bill” Barris, who has relatives in the Poland and Canfield areas of Ohio and West Middlesex, Pa. The cigarette case, found in an old metal lockbox passed down through several generations of West Middlesex Barris men, contained four of the nonfilter Camel cigarettes doughboy Barris was known to smoke.
