Silver Star Internet café in Hubbard Township has kept its doors shut since late July because of a township zoning resolution passed in May to regulate Internet cafés. Its fate is unknown as lawyers representing the cafe and the township are looking over the resolution’s definition of an Internet café.

Team donates supplies to female troops: Members of the Western Reserve High School 2011 softball team participated in its second annual service learning project, this year donating supplies for female military troops serving overseas. Coach Stephanie Wallace oversaw the project, collected all of the items from the girls and their families, and sent more than 180 items to the USO of Northern Ohio to be packaged and delivered. Other coaches are Laura Amero, Jen Paris and Gene Bogden.
