Vada Reel of Austintown recently celebrated her 90th birthday. She was joined Nov. 20 by more than 200 friends at Smith Corners United Methodist Church. Hosting the event were her sons and their wives: Kenneth (Mary Ann), Gary (Sandie) and Wayne (Judi) Reel. Attending the event were her sisters, Freda Kochera of Austintown and Janice (Bob) Wehr of Dallas. Her family includes eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Reel has lived in Austintown most of her life and lives in the house built in 1940, before her marriage, by her late husband, Jack. She is active in Smith Corners Church, serving as the organist and pianist for the past 74 years; the Dublin Grange in Canfield; and the Farm Bureau.
