Lowellville High School memories: Lowellville High School Class of 1961 had its 50-year reunion Sept. 24 at Antone’s Banquet Center, Boardman. A cocktail hour was followed by a sit-down dinner, and the evening featured music of the ’60s. The class vice president, Daniel Mamula, acted as master of ceremonies. A prayer was said for deceased classmates, Lawrence Meehan, James Dovich, Josephine Fiocelli and William Morocco. Twenty-one of the 32 class members attended. They are, top row, from left, Jean Eastop, Joan Schiavello, Marshall McCree, Joseph Flora, Charles Schiavello, Daniel Mamula, William Schiraldi, George Reedy, Raymond Schrader, William Mariotti, Anthony Mediate, Dennis McDonagh, Kathleen Paulo and Elizabeth McLeod. In the bottom row are Donna Traveline, Janet DeLucia, Annamarie Migliozzi, Diane Hvisdak, Janet Erdel, Lucy Rachic and Patricia Rich. A breakfast at the Saxon Club in Austintown wrapped up the festivities.

Touched by Nathan: The Valley Cruzers Car Club and their sponsors raised and presented a check for $4,000 to the Touched by Nathan Foundation, formed in 1999 for the needs of special children and their families. The Valley Cruzers have raised more than $50,000 over the past 12 years.
