Garrick Krlich of Hubbard testifies in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court  regarding the horn-honking that he recorded outside his home in 2010  by someone in a Chevy Cavalier. Magistrate Patrick McCarthy said he  didn’t find enough evidence to find that Anthony Palestro of Hubbard  was responsible for any of the honking, and a civil protection order  was denied in the case on Wednesday. McCarthy did approve a  protection order in another case that same day, however, against Nick  Bruce.

Lesson in teamwork
Students and staff members from St. Patrick School in Hubbard worked together to support the “Knight For a Cure Team,” which participated in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life events recently at Beeghly Center on the campus of Youngstown State University. The team raised $100 for the event by sponsoring a dress-down day at the school. In addition to taking part in various activities during the two-day event, members of the team spent a night at YSU. Students involved in the fundraiser are, from left in front, Gavin Espisito, Aidan Ealy, Jayden James and Vincent DePizzo, and in back, Katie Fagundus, Megan Scutillo, Samantha Rosser, Camryn Ealy, Lily Mild and Marie Bond, and their teacher, Elaine Scott. The classroom collecting the most loose change for the American Cancer Society will be treated to an ice cream party.
